The aim of Rhodium Tutoring Service is to provide specialist Chemistry tuition to students, at all levels, who live around Sheffield, whether you require help with revision or just need to consolidate your understanding of the basics.
Our Background
Chemistry can be a particularly challenging subject, especially when students are making the transition between GCSE and A level study. I know, from my direct experience of teaching chemistry at KS4 and KS5, how one to one teaching can make the difference between average grades and either level 9 or A* attainment.
I have been a successful teacher of chemistry over 28 years of experience in several high-attaining, Sheffield 11-18 schools. I understand that pupils do not always get the most out of the classroom experience and are sometimes left feeling insecure and lacking in confidence about their level of skill in a particular subject.
At Rhodium Tutoring I offer bespoke, one to one tuition (or small group work) which is based
on an accurate assessment of the student’s strengths and weaknesses, their
preferred learning style and their individual targets. I give direct feedback
to parents after each session, so that both they and the student can be
confident that progress is being made and that the teaching we provide is
effective.
